Join us with thought leaders Daniel Maté and Hadar Cohen, who will guide us through a series of enlightening lectures as they create a vibrant space for learning, connection, and transformation. Together, we will cultivate a deeper awareness of our spiritual journeys, empowering each participant to embody their true selves and ripple positive change into the world. Daniel Maté is an award-winning composer, lyricist, and playwright for musical theatre who has received the Kleban Prize, Cole Porter Award, and Jonathan Larson Grant for his music and lyrics. He holds  an M.F.A. in Musical Theatre Writing from NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts, as well as a B.A. in Psychology and Philosophy from McGill. Outside of the arts, Daniel runs the world’s only “mental chiropractic” service, Take A Walk With Daniel. He co-authored the New York Times bestselling book, The Myth of Normal: Trauma, Illness and Healing in a Toxic Culture, with his father Dr. Gabor Maté. The two Matés’ next book will be called Hello Again: A Fresh Start for Parents and Their Adult Children, based on their popular workshop of the same title. Originally from Vancouver, Canada, Daniel now lives in Brooklyn, New York.

Hadar Cohen is an Arab Jewish scholar, mystic and artist whose work focuses on multi-religious spirituality, politics, social issues, and community building. She is the founder of Malchut, a spiritual skill-building school teaching Jewish mysticism and direct experience of God. Malchut’s capstone offering is God Fellowship, a curriculum on the cosmology of creation delivered via group classes and a self-guided online course. Malchut is also home for her Jewish Mystical School, which includes a library of her classes and a community platform for connection. Her tarot readings are also available to book through her website. Her dedication to Jewish education translates to her organizing work, cultivating multifaith gathering opportunities such as Jewish-Sufi Muslim prayer groups. She led the first Sephardic Jewish mystical retreat to Andalusia, Spain in summer 2023. She is the founder of Feminism All Night, a public gathering space for feminist spiritual discourse and possibility. Hadar teaches and consults in a variety of settings and formats, from one-on-one coaching to online group classes and in-person retreats. Hadar’s artistic works include Prostrations, a visual art show compiling fiber art, film, audio, scripture and poetry in reflection of Jewish devotional prayer practice; and The Selichot Project, a collection of her grandfather’s tapes singing Sephardic Jewish liturgical prayers in preparation for the High Holidays. Other artistic avenues include hand-woven prayer rugs, poetry books, and filmed performance art. Hadar is a 10th-generation Jerusalemite with lineage roots in Syria, Kurdistan, Iraq and Iran. She is currently pursuing her MFA at Transart Institute for Creative Learning. Her podcast, Hadar’s Web, features community conversations on spirituality, healing, justice, and art. Between 4pm and 5pm, we will dock at a different location, igniting a sense of anticipation and excitement. This is your chance to step off the yacht and immerse yourself in the wonders of each destination.

You can choose to join a guided tour, where knowledgeable experts will lead you through the hidden gems of the island or town. Alternatively, if you’re feeling adventurous, you can explore the area on your own. Discover local attractions, indulge in mouthwatering cuisine, visit charming wineries, or simply take a leisurely stroll to absorb the enchanting surroundings.

After our explorations, we will gather back on the yacht for casual conversations with the Presenters, and our group. Share stories, laughter, and create unforgettable memories as we enjoy an overnight stay in our comfortable cabins. It’s the perfect opportunity to relax, recharge, and prepare for the exhilarating adventures that await us the next day.

Sunday: Meet and Greet

Kick off the week by getting to know fellow participants, Daniel, and Hadar in an informal setting. Share your intentions and aspirations for the journey ahead.

Monday: Relational Community Building – Cultivating Spaces for Growth and Connection

This opening session is dedicated to creating meaningful bonds and fostering a sense of community among participants. Through group activities and reflective discussions, you’ll have the opportunity to connect with others, share experiences, and build trust. This day will focus on the power of human connection, emphasizing the importance of supportive relationships in personal growth and transformation. By the end of the session, you’ll have formed deeper connections that will enrich the rest of the journey.

Tuesday: The Intersection of Mind and Spirit – A Holistic Approach to Inner Alignment

This session will explore how mental alignment and spiritual understanding work together to create a more fulfilling life. Daniel will introduce his “mental chiropractic” method for addressing personal challenges and aligning the mind, while Hadar will teach her spiritual frameworks for understanding the self. Together, they will provide practical tools to help participants achieve inner balance and clarity, blending insights from psychology and spirituality.

Wednesday: Spiritual Journey: The Soul’s Path Through the Psyche and Inner World

In this session, Hadar will lead an exploration of the soul’s journey through the depths of the psyche and the inner world. Participants will embark on a guided journey to uncover the layers of their inner landscapes, examining how the soul navigates emotions, thoughts, and deeper spiritual dimensions. Through introspective practices, you will gain insight into the interplay between your psyche and spiritual essence, learning how to align these aspects for greater self-understanding and spiritual growth. This session invites a profound connection with the self, fostering inner clarity and transformation.

Thursday: Mental Chiropractic: Shifting Perspectives to Dissolve Life’s Challenges

This session introduces Daniel Maté’s powerful cognitive-experiential adjustment method, Mental Chiropractic. Through engaging, probing conversations, participants will explore the “stuck points” in their lives, shifting the focus from solving problems to dissolving them. By bringing unconscious frames, assumptions, and “working theories” into awareness, Mental Chiropractic helps soften the seemingly solid edges of personal challenges. This trauma-informed but not trauma-focused approach opens up new perspectives and possibilities, offering participants a fresh way to see, interpret, and respond to life’s difficulties.

Friday: From Personal Healing to Collective Change

This session will delve into the connections between individual healing and the pursuit of social justice. Participants will explore how addressing personal challenges can inspire broader societal transformation. Daniel will share insights on how personal growth and self-awareness contribute to collective well-being, while Hadar will highlight the ways in which individual experiences can catalyze community action and systemic change. Together, they will encourage participants to embrace their personal journeys as integral to creating a more just and compassionate world, empowering them to be agents of positive change in their communities.

Saturday: Q & A

Conclude the week with an open discussion. Ask questions, share reflections, and explore lingering thoughts with Daniel, Hadar, and fellow participants as we close this transformative journey together.
